We are now into our new summer topics in F2 and all the children are trying hard to learn lots of new things while having great fun. They have come back from Easter ready to learn, keen to please and they are a pleasure to teach. The support you give both the children and school are greatly appreciated, thank you and well done! It is with this support that children really excel and achieve their full potential.
Over the next few weeks the children will be learning all about mini beasts whilst doing many jobs across the curriculum based on this. In addition we will be learning Richard III and working with a Shakespearean actress to develop a play which we will then perform at Clifton park. They will be making models, drawing pictures, visiting the butterfly house, growing plants, observing the growth of butterflies, writing recounts and many more things. All of which will be displayed at our exhibition on Thursday 29th June. For more details please feel free to look at the parent’s notice board in the corridor near to our classroom.
Just a few reminders:
Children will always have a new reading book to learn every week. (These are in their book bags.) It is so important that these are carried out at home, as reading is fundamental to all we do in school and in our further life. The pace of education is so fast and children really do need lots of practise little and often in order to maintain this pace. Thank you to all of you who have been learning the tricky words with your children and reading with them, it really has made a big difference to their progress.
Please ensure all children have a change of indoor and outdoor shoes, especially as we access the outdoor area every day. Thank you to those of you who have done this and labelled all their shoes.
PE is usually on a Friday although it is best to have kits in school Monday to Friday if possible to accommodate last minute changes.
Once again, thank you to all of you for supporting us and your children in their learning.
